Artwork production
The collection below showcases print-ready files developed as part of a pre-press workflow prior to industrial production. Each project demonstrates a strong technical understanding of print preparation standards and production requirements.
The work spans multiple pre-press disciplines, including precise image resolution management, correct file formatting, and accurate colour space configuration. Projects are prepared in CMYK, CMYK plus spot colours, or dedicated spot colour setups as required by the print specification.
In addition, I create and supply separated production plates for specialist finishes and manufacturing processes, including spot UV, cutter guides, and fold guides — ensuring files move seamlessly from design to press with accuracy and efficiency.

A solid pink line shows where the cutter guide will cut, this will not print, but will be used by the printers to produce a unique cutter guide.
The dotted pink line is where the document will fold, this will also not print, but will be used by the printers to indicate the folding areas.
Finally the fold and cutter lines MUST be set to a spot colour and set to overprint, so that the lines can be seperated and do not interfere with the print areas. These can be checked prior to printing in the Print production tab in Abrobat Pro.

Revolution Phones folder visual showing 3 page spread

Design and print ready artwork for a Revolution Phones 6pp (6 printed pages) roll fold leaflet
The pink dotted lines show the printer where the folds will fall and the crop marks show where the document will be trimmed. Also please note that there is no cutter guide on this type of document, as this will be in a rectangular format with straight edges and subsequently the crop marks are enough for the guillotine operator to work to.
Even though there is no bleed on the outside cover (white edges all around) I still need to treat it like it does have bleed, as the inside spreads all have bleeding images. The bleed is set to 3mm all around, unless specified by an alternative printing format.
Finally, in a 6pp role fold document, the width of the page that sits inside the cover MUST be 1 or 2mm slimmer, so that when the document is finished at the printers, it doesn’t bend up due to lack of room to sit flat.
